Interview with ABC News regarding ISIS attack on a Shia centre in Australia

A Shia man was shot by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) supporters as he was leaving an Islamic prayer center in southwest Sydney. ABC News interviewed Sheikh Nami Farhat AlAmeli regarding this incident.

Danuta kozaki here from ABC news – any impact on the community re the shooting in greenacre this morning? Any flow on effect to the Ashura procession tomorrow ?

Sheik Nami said:
What happened in Greenacre was expected it was not the first and it will not be the last time shia Muslims will get attacked.

From the beginning of the conflict we advised our community not to take the law to their own hands rather to contact police who will take action against any attacks such as the attack happened in greenacre.

The attack will not intimidate our community memebers from joining the peaceful Ashura procession tomorrow.
